TR2/3/3A Wiring question TR 3A

I have two black wires coming out of my wiring harness connected to a ring terminal. My wiring diagram notes that they go to ground under the facia. Does that mean behind the firewall under the dash? Or does it mean someplace else?

Your help greatly appreciated!
Thanks, tinkerman

There is one which is secured to the body on the passenger's side between the battery and the control box (voltage regulator). It come out with the wires below the control box.

If your 1960 TR3A is a post 60000 car, that wire is secured near the bottom corner of the control box. If you put in a new battery box, that would explain why you have no hole there for the truss head screw.

Hi Don, thanks for the pictures. Yes I installed a new battery box, the old one had too many natural holes in it! Mine is a post 60,000 car so the second picture works great. What I shall do is remove the control box and drill a new hole for it.

Thanks for the pictures and the info, Dick

A ground is a ground. It can go anywhere on the car body.
Since it has an eye terminal, it would normally go under a self tapping screw.
