Small problem, I am going to try to connect and start this baby tomorrow. There are a few loose wires. In the picture, The wires I know are marked. There are three wires coming from the same junction in the wire harness as the wires for the alternator/coil that I have yet to figure out where to connect to. Any ideas.

One of those wires energizes the coil when the key is in the run position (I think it should be white). Most likely the other two connect to the brakes system warning light. A better picture of the ends/color would help. Do you have a wiring diagram?

no, I do not have a wire diagram,, oops well yes I have the one in the original shop manual, but it is with the car 20 miles from me. I will be working on it tomorrow, so the picture you see is the best I have. The other source of info I have is the last page of the manualand the Moss catalogue, giving wire color codes..

Let me look to see if I have an image of the diagram.

Here a diagram and key (sorry about the thread width:

I've got wiring diagrams I can email you. PM me your email address if you need them. Give me your VIN if you have it; there are two diagrams for '70.

Trevor, no thread link showing ???

I put the images in the post, they may take awhile to load. I'm not sure that I have the correct one for your car, but those wires should be the same. It looks like they have been spliced a few times, so you may need to do some testing since the colors are different.
