Wiring Help

Ok so I don't have any keys to my Scimitar yet but I'd like to work out all the bugs in the wiring (it is after all British and fiberglass) first. Then possibly turn the motor over before getting keys just to make sure its worthwhile going ahead before I order keys and a bunch of parts. Anyway with the windshield out its easy to see the back of the key tumbler and there are four wires sticking out of it. A brown one that goes to the battery - I tested it and it is transmitting power. A white and red that goes to the starter. And a white one that splits into three that goes to the alternator, accessories, etc. The one labeled WK is not there as I don't have a radio. So I figured if I connect the brown one to the white one bypassing the key tumbler then the accessories should be powered. Doesn't seem to work though. Any ideas?

Have you followed power down the white wires? Checked all grounds? i know ..the simple stuff, but your idea should work, jumping the key switch should power your accesories.

I haven't done that yet - just wanted to be sure I was at least one the right track. thanks!

I got it. The wiring diagram I had was for a later model (SE5A). Rather annoyingly it uses all the same colours but for different things. Thanks!

Most things work! Just headlights and indicators to fix up (the ground looks pretty bad so its likely that).
