TR2/3/3A Wiring Harness Question on my TR3A

On the passenger side bulkhead there are four wiring harness tabs. I know that the rear lights et all go under two of the tabs in its travel to the boot. What would the other two tabs be used for?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Tinkerman

Dick,

I was looking at that area on mine which is still in an unrestored state and noticed the upper righthand one as there was nothing attached to it and it didn't look like it had ever been bent. Made me wonder what it was there for. I didn't noticed the lefthand one in your picture.

Scott, my car originally had a radio in it, maybe they were used for the antenna wire? Curious. I'm getting so I dread do overs and the more I get into the re-assembly the more do-overs I seem to have, so I ask questions.
Maybe we'll get an answer.

Cheers, Dick

I think you guys are right; nothing there..... Maybe a holdover from RHD cars?

On second thought, maybe they're holds for the carpeting?

Don will chime in, soon enough.

Both clips look totally unused on TS39781LO as well.

BTW, Dick, I think your floor mat clips are upside down.

Yes, you need to turn them 180* so you can easily clamp your finger in them when you try to install the floormats.

Thanks about the clamps, I had decided some time back that they were upside down but just haven't fixed them. I'll do that when I'm finishing up the boot harness. That's funny Geo!

Can anyone say that they have not experienced the sharp pain of getting your finger in the carpet clamp a real eyeopener.
