Wire Wheels on Early hubs

OK, Dan, here are the pics of the bad collar. I determined that someone cinched the wheel onto it while it was not seated properly on the hub peg.







 
I was going to document how to set up a ring and pinion...but it looked like the thread ran out of interest. Anyway, here are some shots of the completed early axle with wire hubs...except for the split collars!









I also finished the gas tank, including sender and fuel lines today. I looked at my pile and realized that the only mechanical part left for the entire car is the Tranny. Essentially, I have an entire TR2 stored in boxes! My next thread will be about OD tranny rebuilding...

I'd be interested in setting up the ring and pinion. It's the one thing that I've not rebuilt myself.

Well, this has been a week of one step forward and 2 steps back. Rob at Revington TR seemed very nice as I was ordering the used wheel collars...but now I can't seem to get him to respond for more than a week. One collar came damaged. I don't know if it is the last one in existence or if they can exchange it.

Has anyone had dealings with Revington that can offer advice?
