Hello
we have been racing a 100M for almost 20 yrs with the VSCCA here in the northeast. Every 4 or so years, the spokes start to break and I spend too much time replacing one before it leads to several. The club does not allow minilites, and truth be told, I do not like that look on the 4 cyc car. We have been using Dayton painted 60 spokes, with heavy duty spokes. Looks like we have to further upgrade to painted 72 spoked wheels, which look a bit to "busy" but are safer and we hope last longer..... Have heard the folks overseas are running Borrani wire wheels. They are very pricey..... Anyone know of a set (5) of used Borranis for a Healey? I know you can also now get the alloy wheel which looks like the Streamliner record car.........also big $$$$$. ANy thoughts? And, yes it has been suggested to the powers that"be," thats minilites are safer... but they are still not allowed...........
Thanks
Ed
