Wire Wheel removal

Now I know I will get fussed at for the way I did this but it worked well. I bought a 63 XKE roadster last week that had been stored for a couple of years. Put it up on my lift and checked the wheels for grease. First one came off normally. Second one, we had to do a little "dance" back and forth, third one about the same. The right rear did not move, not any little rock or movement of any kind. I did this once before and it took three days of soaking with kroil and dancing. I put the kroil on, tried to wiggle, got a little movement. Some where I got the idea I wasn't getting enough lubricant to the splines. I got out the air engine cleaning gun. Stuck the hose in a gallon of gas and hosed the wheel down. I did put a big drip pan underneath. Wet Red rust came out big time. Got a little more wiggle out of the wheel. So I did it again. Long story short, did that about three times and the wheel came off. Took about 30 minutes. Messy, but didn't take days and a lot dancing to get it off. Just some info for anyone that gets into the same spot.

The right rear hub splines looked a little sharp, I did swap the front wire wheel out with the back, those splines looked pretty good. The spare wheel tire didn't match, I may swap it out later. When I get the brakes fixed, we'll see what I have. Tires are several years old as well. Always something.
