Anyone know of a local source for correct wire wheel paint? Also what are the thoughts of Eastwoods silver wheel paint for imported wire wheels # 1285 ? Thanks

I used the Eastwood silver, then had my paint guy clear coat them. Came out really nice.

I've gotten a lot of stuff from Eastwood. Their quality is generally very good, so I haven't minded paying the high prices that they ask. I don't have any experience with the #1285 paint, but I'm sure that the color match will be close to original, and the paint quality should be good. They seem to do there homework on the items they offer.

Very close to the original color, unless its a concourse car and sitting right next to one that is the correct color you'd never know. I just painted my spitfire wires with it and painted some TR3 steel wheels with it for another guy and he thinks it looks great. I just used acrylic enamel with a hardner in it. About a pint to paint 5 wire rims inside and front and back. I buy it by the quart for about $30 which will do 2 sets of 5 with some left. I sandblasted them, painted them with epoxy primer and then sprayed right over the epoxy. If you want some pictures I can email them.
