Hello there. Did you ever find the wheel box you need for your project? I have an extra wheel box (not sure where I got it) and it is the early style. Among the many differences in the wheel boxes was the size of the shaft that goes through the cowling (scuttle?). The early wiper box shaft is slightly smaller in diameter than the later style. Also, I believe the early wheel boxes had painted bezels as opposed to chrome bezels. Not sure when the chrome bezels began to appear. I'm still attempting to restore my TR3 that I acquired in about 1998. I rebuilt the engine, restored the chassis, did the body work, painted the body and am in the process of installing interior stuff. My car is TS11646.
