Hoping that someone can help....I'm refinishing the dash of my '75TR6 and need to remove the wiper switch in order to completely remove the dash.I can't seem to locate any release screw as on the choke or heater control and it does not want to free itself.....any ideas?

Look under the knob. There should be a small hole in the knob and you puch up on the pin that is located in the hole. That then allows the knob to be removed.

Hey!Thanx for the response..I checked for that hole using a mirror and a flashlight but could not find one.I'm familiar with the removal of choke and heater knobs but this one seems to be different...I know that it can't be that tough...

I refrained from offering a suggestion because I supposed if you got the other knobs off you would have already looked for that button.

Could this be some aftermarket or non-original switch? With the replacements selling for (I think) well over $100 perhaps some PO used a switch that required attaching the knob some other way.

Well, knobs are much cheaper than switches so if it is JBWelded on there try to save the switch.

thanks for the help...switch knob is original and I never used any type of doomsday adhesive or glue on it.Go figure....

I think I have spare switches in a box at home, so I should be able to look at it and even take a picture of it with no knob for you to look at. Send me an email and that will remeind me to look (when I get home)
