I'm moving the wiper motor to accommodate new brake and clutch cylinders. My question is this: How does the drive cable from the wiper motor connect to the wipers. It appears that I can just pull out the cable, that's easy enough, but how does a new cable drive the wipers ? Do I just pull out the old cable and push in a new one ? There must be a connection of some sort.
 
Well if I rememmber correctly there is a toothed curve inside each box that the cables rides on causing the back and forth motion. The wiper box needs to be split open to remove the cable from the sheath witch is open at each box.

Unscrew the retaining nut that holds the drive gear to the drive cable tube and withdraw the motor, drive gear and cable. Before you do this be sure to remove the wipers before you do since they will spin when you pull out the cable. Take this opportunity to clean everything and regrease.

Thank you ! That is what I needed to know. To replace do I just attach the new cable to the motor, I assume that the drive gear is attached to the motor, and thread the cable into the tube ? I will have to make a new tube since I am relocating the motor. The motor turns the cable and the "teeth" on the cable connect to cog wheels that move the wiper blades, is that correct ?
