TR4/4A wiper boxes

I figured out the boxes need replacing. after research, not sure I'm able to do the job. seems pretty tight and laying on my head isn't something to look forward to. found a guy that says he can do it. wants to charge me 4 hours for the job at $100 per hour. Don't know if that's reasonable or not. any opinions?

After reworking mine at beginning of restore I discovered they were installed upside down. Had to fix through the exterior vent and reaching under the dash. Difficult but not impossible. $400 seems a bit much but shop rates probably are at that point. Just make sure they are installed correctly or your wipers will park on the windshield... Good luck.

It is an easy job at the beginning of a restoration when the area isn't as cluttered with demister vents, glove boxes, heaters and wires. $100 an hour isn't that unreasonable and, if the guy is good, it would save you the frustration of doing it yourself.

I agree with Auprichard. It’s not an easy job when the dash is all together. On the flip side, there’s so much in the way, plus sync issues with that wiper motor worm whip, I could see some finicky folks not trusting anyone but themselves.
