winshield washer nozzle is loose

You might have to restore the car to fix that.

There's a nut on the underside of the cowl behind the dashboard. It's a pain to get to, and if I remember correctly a clear path is obstructed by the wiper gear rack.

And... (now I'm trying to be helpful) the tubing is often hardened so do not try to remove it (if possible) unless you are prepared to replace the nozzle AND the tubing.

About 4 years ago, I got tired of rain coming in at the drivers side windshield wiper arm and decided to fix it, which started a 3 1/2 year total restoration.
Jesse may be right.
I installed mine before the dash, so I can't give any tips.
Oh, it still leaks there a little. Not sure why, installed a new washer/gasket
and put some silicon around the opening first. This time, I will live with the leak.

I live with a leak too..just makes sure no bare wires there...hahahahahahahahah man thats funny under the dash no bare wires ya sure...

Joe,
you can always remove the glove box and center console and lay on your back and try to get a hand up there. Any way you try, won't be easy. Good luck.

there is another choice, you can get a spider monkey and train him to turn wrenches and climb under the dash and fix it.hahaha

joe, if you need a picture, i should be able to take one.

Try replacing the choke cable without removing the radio console. Where are those darn MOWOGS when you need them.

It's an easy job if your arm has an extra three or four joints in it, otherwise I'd suggest using a small dab of super glue on the outside and wait until the car needs a total rebuild. They're that hard to get to!

Ok, here we go. The first picture is actually the passenger side - but it is a clearer shot of the fitting. I am almost certain it is a 5/16" nut.

The second is the driver's side - taken from the passenger side - so, the bar on the left lower is the wiper mechanism. The hose on the bottom right is the heater hose and the blue above is the wire harness. You MIGHT be able to see it better if you pull the heater hose (which is only a friction fit)

good luck

will that involve a lot of money?

maybe I should sell and get a Honda . . .

I'd have to get a Toyota everyone knows what a great reputation they have. My own reality with a couple of them have been disappointing. But hey the Japanese have shown the know how to win a war.

chances are you will tighten it only to unfold yourself from under the dash to step out around the side of the car to see your handy work and find it piont at either side of the car not the windsheild! glue it and forget it.

Since I've got an issue with DS Squirter not staying where it is aimed, my solution more than likely will be a drop of super glue to anchor it in place. Not that squirters or windshield wipers do much anyway on this car.

I got at mine (79 Midget) by removing the speedometer. You can't get any tools up there, but if you can hand tighten or wad up a little epoxy putty you just might be able to tighten it up.

All in all an acceptable compromise if you're not doing a total resto.
