Windshield wipers

Is there any way to increase the arc of the winshield wipers' sweep? Some years back I installed a BN2 windshield wiper motor which has self-parking, but in order to get the blades to land somewhere near the frame the wipers don't go very much beyond vertical, leaving a lot of unwiped windshield?

Hi Michael, not sure if this will help but the attached is from the Lucas Technical correspondence course. Go to section 8 and scroll down to page 14 where is gets into the DR1 & DR2 wipers. My guess is you have a DR2 (both my BN4 and BT7 have DR2s). As you read thru it, there are descriptions on how to set the parking limiter and that may be why you have a less than full stroke > LUCAS TECHNICAL SERVICE "Overseas Technical Correspondence Course" <

Also, while you are fiddling with it, you might want to consider a delay module - I bought one last year from Moss and it is really a nice thing to have when in light mist/drizzle > Intermittent Windshield Wiper Kit by Retronics <

Dave--

Thanks for the suggestion. I never look forward to working under the dash but I'll report back after I give it a try.
