Windshield wiper motor

Does anyone have a good windshield wiper motor for a 1971 MGB they'd like to sell? Please let me know ASAP...THANKS!!

what's wrong with yours? If it is the brushes it is a fairly easy fix.

When I bought the "basket case" last Fall the wiper motor was in a box of parts and was totally filled with rust. It's total junk. Had tp prioritize parts so the motor replacement waited. I checked with VB this morning and a motor can be backordered so I'd have it in about two weeks. Sure would like to get one much sooner since I have to take Carla to Nashville airport next Wednesday morning. It'll probably rain somewhere along the route!!.

Don't sweat it...if it DOES rain, poke your head above the top of the windshield....the wind will keep the rain out of your eyes! :thankyousign:

Rain-X!!!!

Thanks JP...for some reason I never think about ebay. I contacted this seller.

Gary,
Gotta agree w/ doc on this....wipers are great, but can't beat rain-x.
Never fails to work & starts automatically, it's magic!!!!! lol

Carla picked up some Rain-X after class yesterday and we put it on last night. Thanks for the tip!! We'll see how it does today and report.

I've used the stuff since the late '60's and it has saved my skinny white butt more'n once.

Well, today was supposed to be thunderstorms again...they didn't materialize. Carla drove the 25 miles to school and 25 miles back with the top up and not a drop of rain! Was 95° and heat index of 106°...fun trip.

J'espère que vous n'avez pas parler français

IMHO-For as little as the LBC wipers really accomplish, rain ex will get you at least 50% there without them.

And it's easy on the electrical system!

Well, we got the new %!@*&% wiper motor installed ! Luckily, Carla is young, supple, and has smaller hands than I do...she did most of it. AND the wipers now work!! Thanks all.

Oops, we should have told you, would have been much easier with a MOWOG.
