WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT

I just purchased a windshield that was pulled from a parted out MGB to replace the scratched windshield on my 80 MGB. I plan to relace the seals before I install it on my car, but I will be leaving the glass in the frame. Figuring it's better to not mess with that.

My question is, will I be able to remove the old assembly and install the replacement without removing the dash? Any additional advice?

Thanks everyone.

It CAN be done. Patience and a swivel socket will make it a much easier do. The worst part is accessing the top (rear-most) bolt of the two on each side: they're well tucked up an' in the corner of the "dash". With an articulated socket (IIRC 9/16") and extension you can access them with moderate difficulty. DO NOT loosen the screw between 'em, as it only locates the spacer plate for aligning the windscreen.

HTH!
