Good idea!
Just a couple small things to watch out for...
Be sure to ask for *exterior grade* powdercoatings, i.e. UV safe. Most automotive coaters will know this, but some industrial coaters might use the non-UV-safe coatings without thinking about it.
Be careful to not have things coated where the thick PCing will cause fit problems. For example, the two large pins on the windshield frame that go into the brackets under the dash should probably not be coated. They are often tight to begin with, would be impossible if any thicker. The coater can mask off anything you don't want coated.
