TR2/3/3A Windshield difficulties

Charley... can you give me a you tube link? I am having trouble finding anything relevant.... they are all modern and generic.
Thanks again

You were right about You tube, I could not find anything there. Checked on the forums and got a good hit on TR Experience.

I used a clamp similar to what he used in that thread. But only had one clamp and moved it back and forth to slowly bring the glass up into the frame. I also had my frame and glass laying flat on a table. So tape the gasket to the windshield, get it good a warm. Trim or narrow the gasket at the two upper corners ( front and back) and later at the two bottom corners. I also used the clamp to bring the bottom up onto the glass.
I suspect that most of the really good how to instructions are on one of the forums. I frequent this one and Triumph Experience. Use the Search window to find what you are looking for. Sorry to give you the wrong lead. Seems I seldom ever find the same sites twice.

I had to reinstall my windscreen so many times I have it down to about 15 minutes. When rubber stretches one direction, it becomes thinner in the other directions, so stretch the seal until it fits. The other key is a rubber mallet. I start at post #157:

Thanks, John
I am learning about navigating the website as well as installing the glass! I will use the rubber mallet that I have.Your advice is very helpful, as always.

We have, for us a heatwave with temperatures in the high eighties for a few days. So I will work late in the day! Things move slowly:the trick is not to get impatient with this or anything else!
