Windshield defrosters

Back in the day when I was a kid during WWII, these were used a lot for defrosting car windows on 12 volts and they came in 120 volts to plug into house current. As I remember, they worked very well, but you had to look through them, they didn't defrost outside of the glass area. :thumbsup2:

Paul - I think they were also used for defogging the windows. Many early passenger cars didn't allow fresh air in when running the heater (with all the windows closed). So passengers' breath would quickly fog up the interior glass.
