I sent my original capping away for a refurbishment, but unfortunately upon receiving it back was not a good enough job.
The reproduction capping that I had purchased from Rimmers does not fit correctly....not shaped correctly, and fixing holes not aligned with the originals.
I will have to order another repro, but am unsure of what supplier to purchase from.
Now down to Moss or TRF. ...Reluctant to order from TRF as some previous items have not met my expectations.
Do all the common retail suppliers buy off the same manufacturer.
Anyone care to offer suggestions, as I do not want to purchase another that is problematical.

When I got my TR3A, it was missing that capping. (Actually, all the cappings.) I purchased 2 different dash cappings that were supposed to be 'original'. The holes did not align to each other, nor my dash. I think they were not installed with a template when built -the installer tried to put the same number of snaps in roughly the same place. This is one reason each top or tonneau must be fitted specifically to your specific car. I doubt you will find a reproduction that will fit your existing holes perfectly.

I welded my holes shut, and drilled new ones to match the capping. I was able to adjust/bend the aluminum 'frame' to fit before I covered it.

Good luck,
Jer
