Windshied washer questions

What is the correct routing for the washer tubing from the Tudor bottle through the BJ8 firewall? The tubing currently goes through the big grommet with the wiring bundle by the valve cover. Is that correct?

I see a small hole below the voltage regulator and another up high just below the lip of the shroud. What are they for? Regular tubing is a shade to big to fit through the small holes. Was there a special tubing?

The washer won't squirt if left sitting for awhile. The pump is new. The one way valve seems ok. I suspect the pump is loosing it prime. Maybe clear tubing doesn't make a tight enough seal. Anyone else have similar problems?

Well, correct or not, that is the way mine was plumbed.

Thanks for the photo. That is how mine is too. A tube containing water running next to wires and dangling unsecured just didn't seem right.
