windscreen problem

I have a 79 midget and I cannot seem to re-install the windscreen. The gasket from the frame to the cowl is an issue. The "flap" on the gasket that should lay flat and face the front of the car is "curled" under. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks, George
 
Going from memory of about 5 years ago. My 64 had 2 types. Bought wrong one. I suspect the same. Wishi could be more definitive.
