I am trying to find where the yellow wire in the picture connects.

I don't think I have a problem in connecting the #1, #2, and E connections as shown on the attached diagram and (as yet) have not found a wiring diagram showing it.

I have looked at quite a few pictures that I had googled but could not see where/what the wire is attached to.

I have had comments that the yellow wire goes here or there but I believe I had used the yellow because it was what I had on hand rather than any attempt to follow the colour codes.

Thanks for any responses.

The wiring diagram looks right for the DR2 motor. And I think you did supply the yellow wire.Its purpose is one side of the park switch or limit switch as Lucas calls it. Bad part is I can't say for sure which side, hot or earth. In either case though, I'm pretty sure it is an internal connection. Those wires in the diagram, 1, 2 and E are the only external connections on that motor. I'll try to check mine tomorrow to verify that it does go internal but I won't be able to tell where it connects.

Tom, I think I have that same Lucas manual on my computer. I studied it before answering above but could not determine where to connect that limit switch internally. I don't remember where I got the manual but it covers a lot of Lucas electrical devices. It includes a bunch of PDF files and has a HTML index to organize them. I wonder if Basil would like to post them for BDF. I'll check.

I'm working on a similar site. Currently have Lucas Workshop Instructions, SU fuel pump and BMC/BL service articles uploaded to it. Have several Austin Service Journals to add. liblbc.info
