windscreen alignment

Over here in aus, i guess you could say we'r running out of summer...

I came running out of the house just before to put the softop on (only had the tauneau cover on atthe time) a from a sudden burst of rain which seemed to come from absolutely nowhere.... so after drying out the G I knowtest that the softtop was leaking between where the winscreen meets the softop...

The line of the windscreen seems to have been pulled down by the metal deevy in the centre that connects the top of the windscreen to the dash (rear vision mirror connected to it)... im guessing its some kinda structual thing... I havent EVER adjusted it before /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Theres a good half a cm gap between the softtop and windscreen...all of a sudden... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif wtf?

The actual line of the windscreen along top is not flush... it slopes down in the middle... causing my brand new leak

If i loosen that off, will it loosen the stiffness of my windscreen?
Is it something that i should just ductape over?

Thanks guys...

I recon my cars haunted

Have you ever had the softop up before, Jarrod? This might be important info to pass on. Yes, that little rod is important. It keeps the wndscreen from falling back in your lap and lets you apply down-pressure on the top rail when putting the top up.

That's about all I know.

Jarrod, How'd you get that tonneau cover to work with the roll bar? Did you buy it, or have it custom altered?

Its a custom job.
It was on the car before i bought it
I dont recon it would be hard to modify an original to get it to work like mine...
