Gentlemen - is it possible to install OSX on a Dell Dimension 4300 (3ghz P4, 1g ram)? The machine now runs 32 bit WinXP sp2.
I'm not a techie, but I've heard that OSX now runs on Intel cpu's. I also know that OSX supports Windows "from within". I realize the apps now running on WinXP won't run unless I install WinXP "within" OSX, or dual boot the two. I've got a *lot* of apps of all ages running under XP now; don't want to lose those apps or their associated peripherals.
So can I *relatively painlessly* replace the OS on my Dell, with OS 10.5? Or install it as a dual-boot Win/OSX? Or install OSX as the primary OS, with WinXP installed inside OSX Boot Camp?
sorry - talking in circles. don't even know enough about this to be dangerous (yet ...)
Thanks.
Tom
