Windows 11 compatibility

Tom, the look is a little different color wise, it has more options for personalizing to ones likes, not that it means much but the mouse curser can be made in many colors and sizes. It seems to be a little faster than W-10, but I'm just playing with it on this machine before installing it the other one and haven't done much else. I don't see much difference, if any, moving files pictures etc. Some of the screens look have changed a little. More options but I haven't checked them out yet.

I have always heard you want to install Windows first on a dual boot system.

I don't understand the second to last paragraph in the XDA article. Having to use a flash or cloud drive to copy/paste files is just plain stupid. I create a separate partition for my files (think photos and music) that both Os's can read, NTFS. That also makes backup of my person stuff easier since I just do the whole partition.

Thanks Paul. I'm hoping there will be a "convincer" or two, to convince folks to move from 10 to 11. Just another pretty face won't do it, altho' the looks sure got more interesting when we went from:

It is amazing just how far computer technology has come in such a short time. My first computer with a hard drive was 164 Meg! That's correct, 164Meg. Had to run it in compressed mode just to get windows 3.1 to fit in it. Stored everything on floppies, real 5 inch floppies! I wish I had kept that old machine just for the fun of it.
I did finally pitch some small floppies, the biggies went ages ago. And I use a 14tb external drive for movies, TV, music and other stuff I want to keep, and it is filling up. I can remember at work having to do justifications to get a gig added to production systems as they wanted to keep everything but have as little storage as possible...

Post your error message on Google, you will find a simple configuration change to do in the BIOS.
