Windows 10 Help

I lost my audio, so I poked around .. eventually I got the message ( and I paraphrase ), "So this update is not for you? Would you like to revert to your previous version?" ****! but I hit that return button So Frigging Fasts !! Does this mean I'm now a dinosaur?

Don't give a ****

Pretty sure 99% of people who mess around with classic British Cars are dinosaurs regardless of what version of Windows they use.

Was having some issues with my computer and, googled it - one suggestion was updating the BIOS on your computer - I went to the Lenovo site and downloaded a number of upgrade (not BIOS ironically) and it seems marginally better.

In a separate but related issue, the other week my computer started the `two hour upgrade`that others have referenced - I had to leave town so just left the computer running - turns out it used 40 Gigs of data in a day! unbelieveable.

Yeah, yer a dinosaur...and so am I, but I'm an older era of dinosaur.

I have reverted 10 back to 7 for several folks. Talked to an IT guy Friday I have known for years (in fact, this computer came from him...specified XP Pro).
He has had nothing but problems with 10, even on his personal devices, and has reverted all of them.

MS already lost the case when they had to pay the gal for what they did (and they instantly changed the "jam it down your throat at all costs" mentality).

THAT loss will play against them in court.

I know more folks (including churches) that have had to face the auto-update and auto-10 issues, and not one of them are happy.

What amazes me is the folks who think this attitudinal deficiency on the part of MS is just fine..and that 10 is an all-encompassing wonder of the brave new world.

Add to all of that, I OWN my Office programs...no "leasing" or annual fees...no "cloud" storage waiting to be hacked.

Except for the XP-8 laptop, which I just eliminated Office and loaded OpenOffice.org and be done with it.

Of course plaintiff's claims are without merit. They always are, right?

$10K...and that one is gonna hurt them.

Read carefully the propaganda /MSBS in this one. Especially the EULA on folks whose computers were "bricked" at 91% and cannot be recovered....and that is BEFORE you get to "agree" to anything.

This is good, but the follow-up is hilarious:

"Microsoft has never made system imaging a part of its recommended recovery program; and your point about 'a small percentage of early upgraders who have problems ...' is the very reason they were negligent in forcing the updates (thanks for making my point). As for the 75m upgrades, Win10 is now trending slower than Win7, which was a paid upgrade -- not forced out and given away. Financial analysts have downgraded Microsoft stock because they can understand what serious trouble the company is in -- even if the tech community does not."
