Having troubles getting the pin thru while pushing the whole assembly. Anyone have any magic trick to get me thru this? Rick

Get it all started with a long finishing nail of the appropriate diameter (head nipped off, if you have to) then use a pair of needle-nosed pliers__if you have to__to put the right pin in, as you draw the nail out.

I've done it with long pin-punches before, so if they're part of your tool arsenal, then by all means, they're better than the nail...

One way to also use a nail, is to cut a grove in the nail at the length needed for a pin, then bend and break it off when in the right length.

This may seem like a lot of work for a little job but believe me its worth it..Hope it helps you.
