Hi, My windows rattle when they are wound up. They're ok when they are down. I've had the cards off and tightened up all the fixings. The channel is bolted in at the bottom so I guess the next move is to renew the rubber in the channels. Has anyone got any advice please on how long this takes, how difficult it is and whether it will be successful?

Thanks AJ

Well:
There are Plastic bearings that fit the window to the guide channels these wear , break and may need replacing,

FWIW, my BJ8's door windows had bad rattles for years, and new guides--and other 'usual' fixes--didn't help. I finally got inside the doors and ever-so-slightly pinched the metal guides with pliers, and the rattles ceased. Of course, pinch too tight and the window won't budge.

Oh this one's easy: leave the windows hanging on a nail in the garage! Only an earthquake__or huricane__ will make them rattle there.

(rollup windows are for sissies... )

All in fun guys, don't report me to Reid!

(roll up windows are for sissies. OH SURE!.:playful:
