Wilton Tools

Anyone familiar with Wilton tools? Any opinions? Made in China?

Same questions for Grizzly and Cummins.

Thanks

Bruce

Wilton is an old line tool outfit now owned by one of those big conglomerates.

Some of their stuff is still US made, I think. Most is Taiwan or maybe Japan with Chinese mixed in. Some Wilton vises are US made.

Grizzley is Chinese although they claim it's a higher quality.

Cummins is common chinesae crap...

I prefer to buy old, used US stuff mostly from Ebay.I have a verticle mill, ironworker, belt sander, drill press, 36" shear, 48" brake and have less than $2,000.oo in all of it and those tools will outlast me.

Oh, oh, oh, to have the space for that stuff.

Wilton is good stuff. I worked for a company that was a distributor for their products, and was always very impressed by the tools.

The US-made products are obviously going to be a better proposition. You looking for a new vise?
