Will someone just come and get this thing?

Well, the long neglected TR7 is at it's new home...thanks to Cheapsnake for all of his help finding the car, helping me load it (in a driving rain!) and such.

Tom, I owe you a big THANK YOU!

Tomorrow I'll clean it up a bit...wash off some of the grime and blow out the leaves from the interior and engine compartment.

I may even put in a fresh battery and see if we can make some smoke.

This may be my daily driver next summer...who knows?

Rick, just knowing that 7 has found a good home with loving parents is good enough for me.

For those watching this thread, when we finally got around to taking a close look at the car we found that it's a relatively rare 1981 model (last year of TRiumph production) and the odometer shows 25,000 miles. I think your time will be well spent Rick!

Enjoy the car and we'll expect some progress reports. Make your first road trip to Door County to show her off.

Tom

I think this one qualifies for BlueMiata's thread about Triumph scores!

That it is a Solihull car is important, not only because it was the last year, but it's been argued that the build quality was much better there.

Thanks to both of you for rescuing it! Rick - you're gonna love it - now you need a TR8 to go with it!

And this wouldn't have happened without the Forum! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Mickey, if we keep working on him, I can sell that V8 yet.

Rick, careful if you hook up with kc. He's nothing but trouble /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif if you know what I mean.
