Will older doors/sliders work with MkIII Tub/Top?

I don't have any problem devoting the time really, it's just the fact that after all the time and effort I still won't have something that's in factory original condition. I don't have the budget to buy every new piece of sheet metal out of the Moss Motors catalog and with the way I've been patching it'll be plainly obvious that it's not original or in the original style. Also it's not exactly a rare/desirable breed that would warrant that amount of work/money.

Also, I've never actually driven a spridget, so there's a chance that after ALL this I won't even really enjoy it.

BTW, the inner rocker I cut the rusty front off, then laid a complete new inner rocker over it and welded/laminated it, so I have no doubts in its strength. The spring boxes are pretty solid from what I can tell. The springs did take an immense amount of effort to remove (I wish I'd left them, as well as the front suspension) and the upper plate was trash along with the bolts. The front of the bulkhead had some preforation so I cut/POR-15'd and overlaid a new section from victoria british.

Bottom line is that I should've just done quick patches over the serious/structural stuff and bondo'd the rest and gotten the car in a drivable/enjoyable state. I have a scope-creep issue and I went way too far with this one.

I'm sad but I understand - good luck!

I know many won't agree, but I understand your point of view. I'm finishing a less challenging sprite and wouldn't do it again. Some people have more time and patience. Let them work on them. Having done this I now have a lot more respect for those who can do that.
