TR2/3/3A Will 5W/20 oil work ok in carbs

I have seen lots of discussion on what oil to use in carbs. I have not been able to find straight 20W in any of the local stores and I have resisted buying one quart (only one since low usage) via the internet. My daily driver car uses 4-1/2 quarts of 5W/20 Castrol GTX oil per oil change and never burns any between oil changes. So I am wondering if I can use the left over 5W/20 oil in my SU carbs on my TR3 and in the Strombergs on my TR250?
Thanks! Bob

5W/20 has always worked great for me. Some people use heavier oil to richen the mixture on acceleration. (more power) Others use lighter oil for better gas milage but less power when needed.
