Why would anyone do this?

Trying to make a Bugeyamino?

Well, goes to prove that from the rear bulkhead back, other than the suspension parts, it's all cosmetic.

I would guess that the rear clip had either been hit hard, or had too much rust to salvage. Problem is, wait until someone goes looking for the rear sheetmetal to complete the car.

When I first saw it I thought...what a great opportunity to make a Hollywood car out of it...no, it's British...OK, a BBC car. A little wood...some down home furniture... the "Nottingham Hillbillys". I could even hear the music playing..."Come and listen to my story 'bout a man named Cedric" but I couldn't rhyme Cedric...sigh.

That's very true, Donn!! I just watched that video of the MGA with the Rover V8!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

This could be the start of the first bugeye-woody wagon. It would make the Morris Traveler look spacious.

Now I'm tempted.
