Why this bbs is great

I wanted to share something that keeps my faith in my fellow LBC owners. I made a post about cleaning up the underside of my B. Taking it down to bare metal, and displacing the dirt and rust that have been building for 40 years. In my post I mentioned that my fuel tank had given up the ghost, and one of our members here offered me a new (used) early B' fuel tank for the cost of shipping.

I got the tank, and of course it is rusty on the outside, but the inside looks good as new. Once I get it sanded down, and POR-15 put inside and out, this will be good as new.

It just shows that people here are willing to help out, even if they have never met another member.

The experience of extended family. The very reason I keep coming back. Folks that are always willing to help, whether its a piece of advice when your stuck, or a kind word when your down.

Regards John

Just had the same experience as I semi-hijacked a Triumph thread on 5-speed conversions because I need a shifter assembly for the one going in my SP250...immediately was offered a "spare" one for the cost of shipping. We are so fortunate Basil decided to start this community and has stuck by his requirements for civility, respect and non-political postings.

Since everyone is feeling generous.
Need 1 Lotus Cortina ,excellent shape. Short throw shifter only

Dang, Don, so sorry....just gave the one I had to the Sisters of Peace and Perpetual Non-Violence for their annual Charity Demo Derby.....!

I think I can take em! :jester:
Always good to have a Taser handy if someone gets the drop on ya though.

Another reason this bbs is so great... the way the threads unravel...faster than a mohair sweater snagged on a barbed-wire fence!!! :jester:

Don, I think that you'd be trampled in the rush for one of those bad boys.....Doc'd be in the vanguard, no doubt.

Count on it...

Stuart.

The question should be "Watcha doin wearin a mohair sweater???" That's not something you'll ever find me in.

"And her low-neck sweater;
Get on home, Loretta"

Just an expression, guys  ...I live in Fl.!! Nuttin' but "T"s !!! I don't think I own a sweater of any kind any more and never have had mohair! Me Mum did used to knit me some nice Irish wool sweaters when I was a young 'un though!!

Mike is right, I haven't worn a long sleeve shirt in over a year (out of work you know). Pretty much I just wear my Tshirts and shorts every day.

I grew up in MA, so sweaters were a staple. Now, I couldn't imagine wearing one. I only have one winter jacket, and that is a Navy flight jacket. I get to wear it about a week out of the year.
