Perhaps an urban legend, but the story of the wealthy doctor-type that bought an expensive large runabout, on first launch with his family, was disappointed in the performance. Only to find that in launching the boat for the first time, he only unhooked the trailer from his SUV and not the boat from the trailer. Was cruising around with the trailer still attached to the boat. Makes for a great story. Only if it is true.
