When there is no reserve, every bid is for real and you don't get people playing games. Most serious bidders will wait until late in the auction.

Yes, it looks pretty sweet but I sure don't have $8K available at the moment. I put a new roof on the house and bought a minivan this fall, then had Christmas. I definitely spent about $20K (or more) and I suppose I have good things to show for it - but nothing fun like a pretty little Bugeye!
