WHY? oh Why?

Well, at least it's all in fun, and one could repaint it. Take a look at the red '68 with a 350 that's also on ebay...

Do you believe 12 bids already? I guess you could buy it then paint it if the price was right. Car itself doesn't look too bad, but that heeeeeyyyyyy babyyyyyy paint is a bit much for me. You could buy this and the piano Dolomite and start your own Triumph museum.

I had a spit with flames on the hood, yeah baby!

Shannon, I'd like it as long as it's parked in your garage, not mine.

Well, compared to some of the roller and paintbrush paintjobs I've seen on Spitfires this wacky paintjob looks refreshingly good.
Not for everyone, but apparently for many - 12 bidders, $1200 with over 5 days left?

Rather interesting, why would you want to remove the 1492 engine and put in the 1300 engine...

My guess is they blew up the original engine (motor) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Kodanja,

I was really hoping to see a top up photo that connects and completes the missing parts of the Union Jack. Oh Well...

I like the paint.. I could skip the whole Austin Powers link, but the paint is fun. Definatly need a hardtop to finish the flag.
I't probably get old pretty quick, and I'd have to repaint.

Uh, more reliable, higher revving, better power........
If I could have found a decent 1300 I would have never raced my 1500.
