In all the years on BCF, I can't remember even one post on that iconic British car - the Morgan. Does anyone on this vast Board even have - or had - one?

I've had a +4 38 years now . Great fun car for what it is . No ac,ps,radio ,electric windows or comfortable ride . But on a nice day it's great fun to look at & drive !

There have been a few Morgan posts over the years so there are at least a few Morgan owners. Most posts I remember seeing were in the Triumph section where someone was asking about their TR powered car.

There has been a smattering of posts about Morgan over the years. tcherek is very involved with them, her dad was the original importer of them on the west coast.

This is not the only show in town and although Morgans have quite a following, they have always been rather limited production cars and perhaps the numbers are just not there.
Of course we do have Land Rover/Rover, Lotus, minis and TVR, all with fewer than 1000 threads. The Minis do spoil may premise though, there is certainly no shortage of them although the "real deals" are a bit rare. (No shortage of Mini forums either).

Ok I have to say it - maybe because we don't have a woodworking section.

I think JP is on to something. If you are looking for Morgan posts go to a woodworking forum. :highly_amused:

Woodworking? nah - how 'bout horses:

"I agree, there should be more Morgan posts. " Of course you do.

If I had a Morgan I'd post about it all the time.

I have owned 6 Morgans over the past 40 years and currently still own one that I finished restoring in 2001. I guess Morgans don't rate for their own spot in the forum because of the low numbers that were built. However, there are a large number in Southern California.

OK, here's one:

Since 1978 I have owned six Morgans, restored two and still own one. There are a number of Morgans out there, but most Morgan owners don't rely on Forums to share information or problems. It seems to be a rather close knit group. Nothing wrong with that, given the low number of Morgans compared with all of the other British cars listed in the Forum. I also own 3 Triumph TR3s and and a Jaguar MK2 and frequently visit the Forum to seek information or just to see what others are up to. I never felt that the Morgan was left out by being listed as "Other British Cars".
