Why is The Forum dragging........?

Doesn't seem any worse than usual from here, so I doubt it's a server problem.

Bill - I've had several "timeouts" today trying to reach BCF. But I've also had two network outages (at different times from the BCF problems). I'm thinking area slowdowns and/or outages.

On a slightly different tack ... heaven help us if the internet actually "goes down" for a few days. Even with all the multiple and redundant backbone and router systems, a "Denial of Service" attack to ISPs, from multiple locations around the country/world would wreak havoc.

Our Triumph forum is getting very big, very fast and that's a good thing. When I started on here in 2005, we were about 7,000 posts behind the MG group, which was the largest forum that Basil hosted here. We are now heading for 80,000 posts, from the low to mid 30's when I joined. That's a lot of growth in two years.

We are usually double the amount of viewers as the others, sometimes even higher. There are and probably will be slight slowdowns, between the Net itself and the traffic on Basil's server. He doesn't have the resources for a Google or eBay server farm, since this is a free access site.

Keep um coming, I say.

I was stopped by several people at the Cape last weekend who said that they've visited this forum because of a Google search. They recognized the big logo on the back of my nice blue BCF tee shirt and stopped to say hello.

Funny thing, every one of them wanted to know about that guy and his possessed TR6 in Puerto Rico.

Very strange indeed......

Looks like your car is getting famous Dale....

Wore same shirt at a Md show, didn't get any bites.

Yes, we were under attack earlier, but I think we have it sorted out now.

Don't burn yer pinkies!

I think the entire southeast was gettin' the hiccups yesterday. Had multiple "outages" over the course of the day. Not just BCF. Even a request for Google got timed out. Figger'd it was Verizon bein' hammered. Couple of times I wasn't able to get to my POP server either. It's in Texas.

You may be onto something here, Paul.
Maybe I need to find a priest with mechanical skills
and have him come over and "lay tools" on Crypty?

It couldn't hurt.
