Even with the idle screws backed all the way off, the engine races to 2500 or higher, and I can't figure out what's going on. Is it possible that the throttle linkage is to blame?
Yes.
Or a choke linkage problem.
Or vacuum leak (such as loose manifold).
If you try the "search" box at BCF you will see lots of responses to this type of question (there was several responses to a similar question just last week)
