Why I bought my Healey

I didn’t know it at the time, but this is why I bought my Austin Healey. I was 17 years old and had no clue this guy would be a part of my life in the future. Sometimes the stars align. I don’t know if I’ll be around to give him his first driving lesson, but I’m sure his Dad will. So as long as there is gasolne to burn, I hope the future will include them both.

I think I may have posted this before but here are my twin "grandkids" looking for their first Healey ride. They aren't actualy ours but a dear friend ( the daughter we never had) who is a single mom and has no living parents started referring to us as Grand Ma and Grand. Pa. Someday the kids will learn the truth but right now we like it and they like it. The 100 will be in my will and they can fight over who gets to drive.

Looks like they are just inches away from being able to see to drive. They’ll cherish their Grand Pa‘s car. Who wouldn’t?

I'm guessing yours is thinking " let's see....how many points deducted for modern headlamps?"

Jon, if you look real close, you‘ll see they are period correct Lucas lamps.

Hmmmm, maybe so but it's never a good idea to argue with the judges.
