why can't I upload photos?

I used to be able to upload photos 640 x 480 from my computer.

When I tried to upload that size it says:Exceeds your quota by 25.30 MB. <a href="misc.php?do=attachments" target="_blank">Click here to view your attachments</a>

220x240 says: Exceeds your quota by 25.28 MB. <a href="misc.php?do=attachments" target="_blank">Click here to view your attachments</a>

No matter how small I compress it, still will not let me upload. Maybe one needs to be paying member to upload one photo?

Hi Roger,
If you used to be a silver member, you may have uploaded more photos than were allowed for a non subscribing member. I ran into that when my membership expired.

Correct, I used to be a silver member, no longer a paying member.
So non paying members can no longer upload any/one (1) photo? That's a bummer. I post photos to help with answering questions.

I find it easier to use a photo hosting service like tinypic.com or photobucket and use the IMG feature to embed the photo on the forum.

We joined the forum at the same time. Some of my pictures became bad links when Basil changed the forum software. I went through all my attachments to widdle down what wasn't good anymore. I wasn't able to get rid of 25meg however. I also do what Rick has suggested.

I don't frequent here as much as I used too. Guess things have changed. Question...does each member have a limited amount of megs for photos. If so where do I find out that information? I must have used all of it with my prior uploads. I don't want to delete those photos to get my megs back. For if I said, here's a photo that show's what your asking, and now I remove it, well that's just not right.

I'll look into a photo sharing service.

Up at the top of the page you'll see "Subscribe". Click that and scroll down. There is a spread sheet of sorts that shows what each type of membership gets you.
