Who's going to the VTR Convention in Dallas?

Just curious...

I just made hotel reservations, and this will be my first VTR event.

Kurtis-

Unfortunately I'm scheduled out of the country on business that week - but if it falls through I'm there. Hate to miss one so close, and I haven't been to one in over 15 years so I'm sure things have changed.

If I make it, I sure would like to meet up with you and check out your TR4.

I wish I was. But seeing as how I am in NY it would be quite a long trip. I sm jealous though. It will probably be a great time. My 73 TR6 is up on blocks waiting for the pieces from TRF to box in my front differential mounts. As soon as they arrive I can get a welder in to fix my cracked right front bracket and also weld in the boxing pieces. I'm starting to get TR6 driving withdrawel smyptoms. TRF is a great resource but they don't seem to be the quickest on delivery. Well I hope you have a great time. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Went last year to Rockford, Ill. Great event - highly recommended! We probably won't make it this year, but want to try for 2007.

That's one of the nicest ways of putting it I ever heard. They are probably out of stock if they are running true to form...

Been my expierence also. Although I have been happier with what I get from them.

We were planning on going to the convention but I am starting a new company and do not want to be away during that time. 60 this year and starting something like this. I probably need my head examined.

Happy birthday, Tom! I'll be "sexty" on August 18th. That makes us the oldest of the Baby Boomers.

Well Murphy struck again. After placing the order a week ago I just got a letter from TRF stating that it would be a couple of weeks before they would be available. If I had known that when I ordered them I would have said no thanks and gone to Moss which I just ending up doing anyways. I want to be driving my TR not looking at it up on blocks. I do that all winter. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I ordered from TRF new wool carpet and a new sun fast top and the carpet under felt, for my6 I got the wool carpet and top in about 2 weeks, and waiting on the underfelt you would think that would be the easiest to get!!!!

I'll be at VTR. I just live on the other side of Dallas.

As for TRF, they are 1 for 4 on orders from me. Waited 4 weeks the last time and then ordered the stuff from SpitBits who had it in stock.

I hope to see you there! I see you're into R/C planes as well also. I actually got into R/C planes when I sold my first Triumph (TR6) then eased back out when I go back into British cars. I still have a couple of planes (you can probably see them hanging on my basement wall via my garage cam).
