The Watking Glen Vintage Grand Prix Festival is the weekend of Sept 5-7!
Triumph is the featured mark, and Formula 5000 the featured event. Brian Redman is Grand Marshall.
Amongst the long list of incredable classics that will be there will be TS1. the first Triumph TR2 ever produced.
LBC as far as the eye can see! Especially in town on friday. I can't say enough about how awsome this event is from a spectators standpoint. This is as close as you can get to stepping back in time to the heyday of road racing.
Plans are to be intown on friday, and at the track on saturday. possibly try and get in at the infamous Seneca Lodge on saturday evening.
Any BCFers going to attend, lets try and hook up for a meet and greet sometime.
I'd love to be able to post some awsome pics of a bunch of us at the track, the festival or Seneca Lodges famous bar. We gotta get Dale back for all those pics of the BCFers livin it up down in Puerto Rico! We need to show him we have fun up here too!
So who's "in"?!?!?!?

Banjo:

I sent you a personal message.

I gotcha T.S.! one sent back! I'm a tad slow on the uptake!!!

I'm in Ben, I need new tires, should have them on by then...

COOL! So far I've only got Twosheds (John) and TR4nut (Randy). You make 3, and I'm 4. Geeze. outta 10K members on this site, I figgered a few more than that would be coming.
Any MG guys? We got 3 'rumphies, and a Healey...
Best of luck on the Tires Dave. Can't wait to see ya again.

Sent the wheels off to Hendrix yesterday.

My son Will (he's a member here) can bring his MGB, so that makes 5. We've gone through his car pretty heavily in the past few months, so he'll be anxious to show you what he's done. You pick the time and place, we'll be there.

AAAhhhrrrgggggH! No room in the rally, or the vineyard tour for roadsters, it's my own fault for procrastinating. I didn't get an info package in the mail to remind me this year...oh well, it will still be a great time. How's the new job working out, Ben?

Job's fine. I'm liking it so far. I gotta get some vintage British car clients....
Jeesh Dave, those rallies fill up by June in most cases. Little slow on the draw eh? Ahh well. If we ever get enough people maybe we could do a BCF rally at the vintage fest.
Can't wait to see ya.
I'll be navigating for John (Twosheds) in the Tour De Marque. so we'll be in town probably around 1:30- 2:00.
Is there any room in the Glenkahana? YOu may be able to enter that. Its not abusive to the cars, and its lots of fun. I suggest adding somekind of dramatic flair to your crew if you do, as the event is audience rated.
One year I saw a couple of guys in an MG Midget wearing plastic spaceman helmets from K-Mart. the crowd loved them. Especially after the navigator missed getting the keys he was supposed to throw, into the washtub, but made a basket with his helmet.
