A severe tropical rain event is upon us.
Between monsoons, I took a 45 minute test
drive in the Crypt Car at speeds up to 70 mph.
New oil filtration system working just fine.

No systems failed, nothing broke down and I almost
made it back home without incident. The sky opened
up the last 100 yeards and drenched me and the car.

So, who else is in the street this weekend?

Snowed here this morning... I'll be out in my LJC today.

Took my Rochdale for a little spin up into the Campsie Hills north of Glasgow for about an hour, sun shine with a blue sky and cool, crisp weather.

Put a big smile on my face. :driving:

Took ~Our MGB~ shopping (auto parts) this morning.

We're driving it around the neighborhood tonight for a Progessive Dinner with friends.
Tomorrow, probably drive it to church and then to have early dinner with Lin's (identical twin) sister.

I've driven it about 1800 miles since I put it on the road in June....the Miata's getting jealous!

Shirley and I took a drive for a few hundred miles today over to the western side of Wisconsin and up the Great River Road and back. The fall colors were great!

Couple hundred tomorrow by the time we meet up with friends to caravan to Hunt Country Classic outside Middleburg, VA, then back to Gettysburg for dinner and eventually Baltimore. Nothing finer than the sound of that SP V-8 purring at 3,500 (70+ mph).

A bunch of my British car buddies went to the Hunt Country Classic today, but I had other obligations. Still, I managed a drive in the country to go get some ethonol-free gas in the adjacent rural county. Only took about an hour and a half.

Took Agatha to see her favorite mechanic, Dave, as she just wasn't performing up to snuff. That was Thursday. Got a call and Dave asked if Agatha could have an overnight. I agreed. Dave called and said Agatha was all better on Friday but had to wait until today to pick her up. She ran great until I ran out of gas. Really I was on my way to 'fill er up' but I guess she just couldn't wait. Husband was behind, not happy. He got a gallon of gas, put it in her tank and she started after much ado. Coughed, sputtered, etc. for about 10 minutes and then smoothed out and purred like a kitten. Got her to the station and she took 12.5 gallons. I'm embarrased, husband is not happy and Agatha now properly nourished purred like a kitten all the way home in spite of wind gusts exceeding 40 mph. She is running so well that when I was passing cars on I-40, I looked down and I was doing 80. I immediately reduced my speed to a comfortable 70. Would have liked to drive even further but time and the weather wouldn't allow that.

 Life is now good.

Today a breakfast run with the local club (TBCR) in the MINI. Last weekend did the Roadrunner rally. 3 days, 897 miles in the Healey. Tucson - Flagstaff- Grand Canyon.

Way to go Steve!

Drove the wedge a total of 3.1 miles for a gas run for the all the 2 cycle engines for yard work. Hopefully tomorrow. They promise good weather to continue ,nippy though.

Still can't erect the hood for foul weather, so I have to pick my days but -- shakedown cruises are occurring at EVERY possible opportunity! Today I drove it to work! Tomorrow I install the seat belts and take the fair-and-lovely Becky for her first ride in the TR3 -- since 2005.

Last week we drove from Tahoe back to Phoenix/ Apache Junction. This morning the wife took her car to have the alignment done. Maybe tomorrow I'll get to drive. T.T.

Kidnapped the mayor's niece and nephew, ages 4 and 2,
and drove them around the hood at 5 mph. Both waved
merrily as we passed their daddy heading down our street
in his SUV.

I'm still suffering through driving the Spider. It'll have to do for now. :smirk:
