I drive my old cars every day because I don't have any new cars. Today I took an MG guy from Texas on a 150 mile cruise through the Santa Monica Mountains and surrounding areas.

We got a green with envoy button????

Dang, Dale. You doing more than fishing out there????

Second thought, no need to answer.

Got the 73 back out on the road and warmed it up enough to do a quick oil change. Other than a small fuel leak when I filled up the tank she ran great. A few turns of a screwdriver and all is well now.

From Elsinore, DK ?????

Ya didn't know Alfa Spiders could swim?!?!

Where ya BEEN?!? :smirk:

Under a rock, it would seem. I am guessing you live either in the Tampa area or the Fort Myers area?

Used to live in both Miami and then Sarasota/Bradenton.

Just curious?

Tampa "slums". Place called Brandon. In-laws all live down Miami way. Business was in Sarasota for nearly 20 years, did a 50 mile each way commute. In Alfas and an MGB.

Got the 73 out for a bit and gave it a quick wash and installed fender mirrors and then took it for a good spin. Cars running pretty good and I wish it would just warm up so I can por15 the tub and install the interior.

Really like the fender mirros now that they are adjusted.

Still lots of snow on the ground but its melting quick. Funny how great 30 degree's feels like after a long winter.

:nonono: Tsk, tsk. I wouldn't call Brandon the 'slums.' Seems to me if memory serves me correctly that it's a nice area. I often wonder if the commuters using the Skyway Bridge realize just how beautiful it really is. I would suspect that 70+ mph drive would sort of cramp the view. I really don't think I ever used the bridge when I just didn't breathe it all in. It certainly was/is grand!

I usually return to Florida every year if only for a few days as I've many friends there. If I'm on the west coast I fly into Tampa just so I can use the Skyway. On the other hand when on the east coast it's Miami and then on to Hialeah for cafe con leche and cuban bread or cafe cubano, whichever comes first.

As to Sarasota I miss the Women's Exchange - a ladies bargain bin for sure.

Hey Steve,
Next time you need 160lbs of ballast on the passenger side, give me a ring. I’ve got some cold chicken tetrazzini and warm Cordon Negro standing by.

That was an obscure reference to some people getting car sick. I do have some champagne that I’ll probably never drink. I never got the taste for it unless there was OJ in with it. It was sent to me when I belonged to a Wine of the Month club. Yours if you want, definitely not Cordon Negro.

Last time I drove mine was March 3rd 58 miles down the freeway full of excitement for the first autocross of the season. Towed back, engine pulled, machine shop, yadda, yadda, ...
