unless its a scam /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

anyways plz give me thoughts regarding the car.

Yes that should be a BN4 - It certainly looks pretty, that primrose yellow is rather strong.
check out derek job's site www.healeysix.net supposedly it should have yellow seats? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif has anyone ever seen yellow seats?

Nevets, I noticed that it was a 4 seater also. He is looking for a 4 seat car but i would be approach this with caution if the the numbers say it's a bn6.
I would want to see more pictures of the engine bay and under side before i would bid. Also if it shows bn6 on the title i would leave it be. Bob

The "buy it now" price of £11.5K seems on the low side and quite a good deal IF the car is in good condition. I'd expect it to be a few K more. The discount may reflect the work required, which by implication would then seem to be quite a lot. Not a low price scam perhaps but more likely to involve a work that's rather more extensive and likely to be more costly than the seller implies....

The description isn't very complete- what's "a little work" needed to get it on the road. It doesn't have an MoT inspection certificate- but would it pass the test? If not, what would need fixing?

"Many new parts"- but when, if the car was imported 10 years ago and presumably re-done around then. While you may not be concerned with a concours condition car it be important to know what non-standard changes might have been done- like polarity changes and alternator conversions.

A little more recent maintainence history would be useful- many owners keep receipts and old MoT certificates to document the car's "life".

It looks nice, but the pictures aren't in focus very well. I'd ask for more, a lot more- particularly of the rust-prone areas.

Is the seller the car's owner (who would know lots about it and would want a good price for it) or someone that bought it themselves for re-sale and doesn't know that much, or care and just wants to off-load it quickly for whatever profit thay can get?

It looks very interesting, but there are questions to be asked.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Its be better to get some answers first.

Its 300 miles away from me... now, if it were within 50 miles I'd probably do it. In fact, if it were within 50, I might very well already know of the car and bit of its background.....

This is a bit too far for me, though a couple of the BCF members based in England might more easily manage it. I think there's someone (Catfood?) based in Solihull, which seems about 20 miles away if its the Bromford that my search of the AA site turns up.

Let your buds chech it out on a reckee run, if sounds good go see it. Heck 300 miles is only 5 hours or less here, nice days outing.

Looks like you could throw a cat thru the gap between the boot lid and the rear shroud panel. I'd be very cautious!
Could stand to be a little more pale on the yellow also.
Wish they would show some under carriage shots, that would tell the story. Bob

man, that's yellow. was somebody afraid that the car wouldn't be noticeable enough?

Slim info for an ebay listing. Whenever somebody lists a car with so few (and poor) pics, it tells me that they've got something to hide. Anyway, it's sold now so somebody is now the new proud owner of the banana Healey, and the rest of the Healey world can sleep safely tonight.
