Who wants a '66 Sprite?

OK.....last month I picked up a "free" '66 Sprite (I say "free" because it cost me $400 in gas and trailer rental fees). My plan was to tinker with it enough to drive it or tear it down for parts, but things have really changed a lot since I dragged it home. I now find myself moving to Jackson, Wyoming and just can't bring it with me.

I would prefer to sell it outright to someone, but would consider parting it out as well. It is fairly complete, although in pieces (it was stripped years ago in preparation for a restoration). I will start off by saying it is rusty in the floors and rockers, but seems solid everywhere else.

It comes with brand new (although with some surface corrosion) floor pans, inner fender wells, lower rockers, A-posts & rear wheel arches. These parts alone are more than $800 through VB or Moss, which is why I decided to drive to Texas to get it in the first place. All I want is my $400 back......I think that's fair.

I move in a couple of weeks, but can make arrangements to pick it up even after I am gone (it is in my parents garage). I will post pictures tomorrow.....all the ones I have are too big to post.

If I get no interest in it then I will have to strip a few key parts and haul the rest away to the scrapper.....I really don't want to do this!

Thanks.

Cripes. I'd LOVE to take it off your hands...but Colorado is a bit far from Mayberry here :frown: :frown: :frown:

+1. I'd love a second chassis to build for my turbo swap but it's maybe just a bit too far away for me.

OK.....here are some pics. Again, the floors and rockers are pretty rusty......the trunk floor is rusty as well. I poked the holes through the lower A pillars to see how bad they were (they're bad!). So, while I think it is restorable, I am only selling it as a parts car. I make no guarantees that it is salvageable. It is definitely worth the price in parts.

I am located 20 miles north of Denver, Colorado.

Anyway, here are the pics. please PM me if you have any further questions.

That's all! Again, please feel free to ask me any questions. Oh yeah, it also has the front & rear bumpers (I forgot to take a picture). Rear is nice, but front is slightly bent.

Right now I really want to sell everything as one unit.....since I am moving out of state very soon, this is the easiest solution for me. If the car does not sell then I will remove some of the good stuff (disc brakes, new metal panels, etc.) and sell the parts off separately. I'll let you know.

Also, I forgot to mention this (sorry), but the car has no title.

One more thing.....several people have PM'd me and expressed an interest in this car (and I appreciate that). However, I won't hold it for anyone unless it is paid for first. I can store the car for a month until it can be towed home. Anything longer than that and we'd have to talk some more.

Basically, the first person to put $400 in my pocket gets the car and one-month to come get it.....regardless of who contacted me first. I just want to be clear on that so nobody feels slighted.

looks JUST LIKE my parts car, color, top and all.

Mine doesn't have rust though.
