Does anybody have a source for the cantrail sealing strip part#607071? All the big three have is for the later style top.

Any ideas of what to use if this can't be found. It is a complex seal, much better than the later style.

Hunt down MacGregor, in Canada!

...Jus' a suggestion.

I sent MacGregor an email thank you. Did not see anything in the listing though. Thanks again

Keith,

You mention later style top so are there 2 styles of hardtops for the TR3? If so when did they make the change, what are the differences and is there an easy way to tell them apart? Oh and are they interchangeable on all TR3's?

Just curious since my TR3 came with a hardtop (although not original with the car from new).

I don't know when the change was made to the tops, but they are interchangeable. The only differences are to the cantrail, or drip edge, and a flat rib that was added to the later tops in the center of the top on the underside to help hold up the headliner. It may serve an other purpose I'm not sure. I believe the TRF headliner has the extra material in it for this rib. The early style cantrail was chromed steel, and the later type were aluminum.

Thanks for the info Keith!
